FAQ's
Summer Camp Programs Q: Will my child take the computer home?
Kids-N-technology gives you two options; take the system home or
enjoy the excitement of learning to build a computer only. Either
way you will have a blast!
Q: My child is already a computer whiz, how would he/she
benefit from the camp?
The Kids-N-Technology promise is to make learning fun and engaging
for all skill levels. There is often a range of experience levels
at our camps, which we use to encourage collaboration, leadership
and team building skills. Through technology-based learning and
hands-on, self-guided instruction young people learn at their own
pace, in an environment that challenges the creativity and ingenuity
of all skill levels. In addition, our hardware curriculum gives
campers an opportunity to get inside their computers and understand
the mechanical components, something that is missing in most computer
camps.
Q: My child has a computer, can he attend the camp without
bringing the computer home?
Kids-N-Technology offers three programs nationally and you have
the option of taking a computer home or taking the class only- Nonetheless,
all students will build a computer that are registered for the build
our own pc camp.
Q: Is each session the same?
The two "Build Your Own..." programs are one week sessions only.
The STEM programs may be taken during session, I or II.
Kids-N-Technology Staff
Q: Will my child have help in building his/her computer?
Of course! All Kids-N-Technology Summer Camp instructors are certified
computer technicians, educators and/or trainers. The goal of the
program is for students to take these skills with them when they
leave, and improve them at home. Our instructors work closely with
campers, encouraging them to solve problems themselves, and giving
them assistance when it is needed.
Q: What is your student to teacher ratio?
Our summer camps have a 6:1 camper: teacher ratio.
Q: How is camp safety ensured?
We take safety very seriously. A university campus can be a busy
place, even in the summertime. Our campers are not allowed anywhere
on campus without a Kids-N-Technology staffer. In addition, campers
are required to wear camp shirts at all times, so we can easily
see where all our students are.
