Go Green - Request a Refurbished Computer
Kids-N-Technology is helping save our environment and community by providing individuals and organizations with a refurbished computer. Our program goals are to:
- Ensure that all children have a computer in their home. Unfortunately there are approximately 30% of school aged children who does not have a computer in their home. Ironically 30% also represent the gap between children who achieve academically and those who do not. (According to KNT 2008 research analysis)
- Make computers accessible to all underserved communities via partnerships with community organizations.
- Extend the life cycles of these systems and keeping harmful waste out of already burdened landfills.
Refurbished Computers:
- All computers include Windows XP operating system, and applicable software applications to successfully complete personal education and or career goals. Including, MS Office, ACT, SAT, Math, Reading, and Typing.
- Schools and nonprofit organizations where technology will have the most positive social and economic impact are given priority.

- Kids-N-Technology, Community has supplied hundreds of computers to organizations and individuals.
Individual Qualifications:
You must have a photo I.D. and one of the following documents to prove low-income status:
- Tax return showing less than $23,100 annual income
- SSI referral or award letter
- Low-income housing verification Or
- Referral from a reputable Community Organization.
Organization Qualifications:
- The recipient organization must be a part of our strategic alliance.
- The recipient organization must have available premises, electrical supply, and adequate security to ensure sustainable use of the computer equipment.
- Appropriate IT training, support, and maintenance must be locally available to the organization so the computers will be put to immediate, productive and long-term use.
- Kids In Technology, Inc. reserves the right to decline any individual request.
- Additional cost and fees may apply.

Costs for individual computers:
Kids-N-Technology access a small fee of $35 for desktop computers and $199 for laptop computers. The fees are used to employ a certified computer technician that ensures all computers are working before they are donated.
All computers must be picked up. No deliveries or onsite set-up is provided.
