In the summer of 2002, Kids-N-Technology launched the south's first technology camp, where children built their own computer and took it home! The summer camp was a huge success, and has continued to be the most popular technology summer camp for teens since the first season.

KIT's aim was to host a distinguished technology summer program on the campus of a major university or college that would provide children from socially and economically challenged backgrounds a unique opportunity to build a state of the art computer system and take it home. As a result, Kids-N-Technology successfully forged a bridge across the digital divide for many youth who otherwise would have been left behind.

Today, Kids-N-Technology continues to enrich the lives of hundreds of youth nationally and internationally via innovative in-school, after school, and summer camps.. The program is sparking a love for learning and inspiring the next generation of innovators.

Safety
We wouldn't dare operate without it! Kids are supervised at all times. Our low staff to camper ratio guarantees our campers are supervised from the time they sign in to the moment they sign out. Children will be children therefore, KIT's staff is trained to enforce
a "gentle" discipline policy, which minimizes camper to camper conflicts. Staff is available and accessible to campers at all times. All applicable staff is license and/or certified.

Our Staff
"A love for kids" is the fist qualification and requirement for all KIT staff prior to being hired. Our lead instructors are certified school
teachers or have a technology certification. In addition to an extensive screening and interview process, all staff must complete a successful national background check for sexual and criminal offenses. Additionally, they are scrutinized with, multiple reference, and identification checks. All staff must pass rigorous safety and quality benchmarks. All Kids-N-Technology Directors, counselors, and instructors are personally screened and hired by the executive director and attend a vigorous spring training camp prior summer employment
