KIDS N TECHNOLOGY Girls
Kids-N-Technology administers a stimulating, career-inspiring,
curriculum-relevant technology education program for girls 16+ years of age.
Kids-N-Technology, Girls is an In-School program that is designed to
increase girls' confidence in technology, math, science, and engineering,
thereby encouraging girls to pursue higher education and careers in these
subjects. The Kids-N-Technology Girls programs include - professional
development workshops, hosted field trips, and paid summer teen internships
(18+ years of age). The curriculum courses are build and repair PCs, web
design, video production, scripting, Flash, digital photography, game
design, programming, rocket science, environmental engineering, statistics,
pre-algebra, fractions, algorithms, cryptography, binary numbers, how
computer viruses spread exponentially, using digital microscopes, etc.
(Course offerings are based on funding availability and school facilities.)

KIDS N TECHNOLOGY After-school
Kids-N-Technology After-school provides a creative and safe after-school
learning environment where kids explore their own ideas, develop skills, and
build confidence in themselves through the use of technology. Students are
able to create, express and discover how to make technology a useful tool
for learning and communicating. The Kids-N-Technology After-school
curriculum is an integrated series of weekly after-school lessons and
community-based technology experiences created especially for tweens in
grades 5th through 8th. Students learn how websites, digital video, radio
and pod broadcasting, animation, print graphics, and music creation can be
part of their life. Courses are based on facilities and funding. Please
note, current course offerings are noted in registration application.
Kids-N-Technology After-school operates in conjunction with Memphis City

KIDS N TECHNOLOGY Summer Camp
Kids In Technology is the ultimate technology camp for children ages 8-18. Campers design, build, and configure their own computer and take it home! Build your own PC, Laptop, or Game Machine! Now offering week-long summer day camps in technology, math and science for kids 6-12 years old.
All programs have highly-trained instructors to teach today's hottest technologies. Through creative play and hands-on instruction, campers learn core hardware skills, including do-it-yourself upgrades, working with
wireless networks and more, all on the finest college and university campuses in the country.

Kids-N-Technology, Community provides low-cost computers and technology
services to underserved individuals, schools and community organizations.
Kids-N-Technology, Community is the largest program of its kind in
Tennessee. Whether it's through computer training, or technology services,
our objective is to create an opportunity to share technology. All computers
are upgraded and tested for long term performance.
We provide low cost computers to:
- Individuals who meet certain qualifications. All PCs include
Windows XP operating system, and applicable software applications to
successfully complete personal education and or career goals. Including, MS
Office, ACT, SAT, Math, Reading, and Typing .
- Schools, and nonprofit organizations where technology will have
the most positive social and economic impact.
- Underserved communities around the mid south. I.e. Mississippi,
Arkansas.

KIDS N TECHNOLOGY Seniors - Surfing Seniors
Kids-N-Technology trains high school students to teach computers to older
adults. (Intergenerational Training). Kids-N-Technology staff recruits and
train youth in classroom skills, communication techniques, and how to work
with older adults. Youth then co-teach basic computer training with
Kids-N-Technology trainers. Youth participants may receive community service
and stipend, while seniors have fun and learn all about computers. This
program is based on funding available. See registration application for

KIDS N TECHNOLOGY Digital Literacy
As a Microsoft Authorize Refurbished, Kids-N-Technology, Digital Literacy
program is based on the Microsoft Digital Literacy Curriculum. The goal of
Digital Literacy is to teach and assess basic computer concepts and skills
so that people can use computer technology in everyday life to develop new
social and economic opportunities for themselves, their families, and their
communities.
Whether you are entirely new to computing or have some experience, this
curriculum will help you develop a fundamental understanding of computers.
From using the Internet, to sending e-mail, to creating a resume the
Digital Literacy Curriculum helps you develop the essential skills you need
to begin computing with confidence. The Digital Literacy Curriculum consists
of five courses in English and Spanish.
